Everything we do at Govani Coaching follows this simple, yet powerful formula:
Mindfulness x (Development + Wellbeing) = Transformation
We know there are many very good executive development and employee wellbeing programmes out there that deliver very good results. However, we also know that bringing mindfulness into workplace training programmes has a multiplying, transformative effect.
We fundamentally believe, and have directly experienced for ourselves, that to produce genuine, sustainable change, mindfulness is the spark that ignites true transformation. It unlocks clarity, creativity and the courage to step out into the unknown and steer a better course. And it supports our commitment to change, even when the road gets a little bumpy.
How does it work?
The Mindfulness Multiplier© is what makes our training awesome!
The Mindfulness Multiplier© ‘multiplies’ the benefits of our workplace training through the three key areas of Clarity, Creativity and Courage.
Executive Development
Clarity
Increases clarity of thought for improved decision making. Develops compassionate awareness of self and others for better working relationships and workplace wellbeing.
Creativity
Provides the ‘mind space’ which allows emergence of innovative solutions to strategic questions and operational challenges.
Courage
Supports doing what’s right, rather than what’s easy, which may involve challenging the status quo.
Employee Wellbeing
Clarity
Develops compassionate awareness of self, leading to positive action which preserves and enhances wellbeing. Allows a new perspective on sources of stress and unhappiness.
Creativity
Creates a space where ‘wise choices’ can be made and creative solutions to daily challenges can be found.
Courage
Enables the willingness to engage with life in a way more compatible with wellbeing and long term resilience.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a way of seeing the world clearly as it truly is, without positive or negative bias. Practising mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, with kind curiosity and without harsh judgment. It involves observing thoughts and emotions as impermanent events, without over-identifying with them, and responding to our experiences with awareness and conscious choice, rather than reacting habitually.
Research suggests that mindfulness in the workplace can improve productivity, attentional focus and relationships, among many other benefits. It can also be very helpful for reducing stress and anxiety, both key causes of underperformance, poor attendance and high staff turnover.
Mindfulness runs through every strand of every one of our executive development and employee wellbeing programmes, from content design through to training delivery. And its power to transform can extend across numerous areas relevant to the workplace and employee performance.
