"The mindfulness course has been the best commitment I have ever made."

Programme details

This 1:1 course is a systematic and intensive training in mindfulness meditation and hatha yoga. It has been adapted from the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) group course. In this eight-week programme, you will learn how to thrive in all areas of your life, even amidst the day-to-day challenges that we encounter. You will learn a radically different way of relating to and dealing with stress.

What might change as a result of us working together?

The 1:1 mindfulness course teaches us to live more skilfully and to take better care of ourselves as we move towards optimising our state of health and wellbeing. It provides the necessary structure and support that you will need to develop the skill of mindfulness so that, in time, it becomes a part of the fabric of your life.
It will help you to:

  • Develop a greater, more compassionate, awareness of the ways you react – in your body, emotions and mind – to the everyday events of your life.
  • Let go of unhelpful patterns and ways of being.
  • Begin developing more skilful ways of living a more aware and fulfilling life.

How much do I charge?

We agree an upfront fee that is appropriate for your circumstances. At the end of the eight weeks, there is an invitation to make an optional give-from-the-heart payment based on the impact our work has had on your life and what you can afford.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the awareness that arises when we choose to pay attention to the present moment with an attitude of openness, curiosity and non-judgment. This means purposefully bringing awareness moment-by-moment to what is unfolding in our lives right now. This may seem like an odd thing to do, but through my own daily practice I have found that mindfulness helps me to focus, handle stressful events in a more constructive way and enjoy pleasant moments that could otherwise flit by unnoticed.

Being mindful does not necessarily involve meditation. We can be mindful simply by bringing awareness to our day-to-day activities such as brushing our teeth or eating our dinner. However many people find that practising mindfulness as a formal meditation, perhaps seated or lying down, can be a very helpful way of training the mind to be more calm and focused.
